This leather bound needle book is a collaboration with Markus Richtmann. If you do not yet know him and his class act bags we suggest you get started by reading the interview we featured with him here.

The needle book is hand made in a robust Swedish dark cow leather with 6 interior pages made from repurposed white table cloths. Once crafted to elevate dinner parties, they have experienced their fair share of wine, gossip and decadent nights. Now you can let them wisper their stories into your needlework.

We hope this piece becomes a heirloom that will be passed on to generations of hands and craft.

  • The idea to make this needle book appeared to us as we came across the emotional story about a needle book that had been passed on for generations. Worn and torn through some 70 years or so it still kept neat and handy the simple needles that had been used for sewing a broken seam, embroidering a festive pattern or securing a button about to escape.

We knew we wanted a long lasting material like leather and began a conversation with Markus Richtmann. A few prototypes later we had found a convenient yet generous size and just the right amount of detail to do justice to the timeless moment of a needle and a thread.

As crafts people ourselves - we have chosen to spend the money to make our products with craft and skill for the job. We are so happy to be able to work with Markus Richtmann on this product. We love his attitude towards craft, design and quality. And no, we never considered producing them in other cheaper parts of the world. We don't need to ship boxes across the world to save a few bucks. We just need it made well for our needs and are happy that it supports craft and skill in our community.

  • Anyone who sometimes needs to pick up a needle. Perhaps you like sewing, or embroidering, knitting or just being ready for quick fix.

  • The needle book is made from robust leather and cotton and will hold up well over time. It will stand to be wiped with a lightly dampened rag if needed.
